Trying different things

Sue and I always have tons of ideas for our next sewing project. The only problem is : so many ideas, so little time! But when we do it, it’s always a matter of being glad that we did. And the best thing about making samples?…. We get to use them too:)

Remember those fabrics I thought would work well as a clutch? I finally finished one. Not entirely happy with it just yet, so am going to work on it more. But still, it’s such a match made it fabric heaven!

The green button makes it so Mod! It's amazing how the details make the bag.

I’m on such a purple roll that I also made another makeup bag in the shape of a cube. Maybe I’m just channeling Prince and all his purple glory:))

Now I can’t decide whether to use it for my makeup or my haberdashery…..

Jailbird Lovers!

There’s a new couple in town! Take a look at this pair of adorable clothes peg bags, which we made with the familiar stripe material. So stripey, in fact, that they looked like a couple of jailbird lovers:))

Here’s our other clothes peg bags…. Maybe they need to be paired to their mates too ?

They’re simply versatile and can be used as clothes peg bags, makeup storage and remote control storage and hung at the back of your bathroom door or side of the sofa. We’ll be putting them into the shop soon!

Now that the website is fully-functioning, we’re getting back to what we love: making bags! We’ve been at the machines during weekend and the new bags are coming along :)) We usually have tons of fun making them, deciding which buttons go where and pairing the fabrics takes some sparring between the both of us because there’s usually so many fabrics to choose from!

On to the next bags! :)) Hope you guys will have a wonderful weekend!

The Blue Orient

My sister gave me a light blue Japanese cotton print a while back and it was simply gorgeous! It took me a while to make something because I wanted to find another Japanese print to complement it. Hence the start of a fervent search for it. I think I managed one just about right for it.

The handle is actually dark blue and not black as in this picture

I’m gonna call this the Blue Orient. I can’t wait to share the finished product with you guys. Watch this space!

It’s just a little crush….

I am soooo crushing over these fabulous fabrics at the moment!

New fabric and buttons buttons buttons..

What can I say. I’m mad about buttons!… I was running around like a little kid in a candy store the other day at the habby shop. These buttons look like they could just about dress up any bags…. Or my salad, for that matter…. :)) Ok, kidding. But yea, they look delicious!

Cute as a button, lots of buttons!

I have no idea what the zipper was doing in there either:)

On the fabric front, a little peek into what’s coming:

I think I'll pair these into a clutch, they just look so yummy together...

You’ve been spoiled!

We had just gotten these stamps made and let me just say, our logo kinda rocks! They certainly come in handy for our packaging ideas, which we insist to be brown paper. Has a kind of charm about it, methinks….

And take a look at this stamp we just got that says ‘Spoiled – Name  _______ ‘. It means what we want to do, spoil you guys! :))
