Doodle Dee, Doodle Dum…

I occasionally doodle and these days, I find that it’s mostly bag doodles… Whenever I have ideas on what a bag may look like, I whip out my trusty iPod Touch ( try the SketchPad application! ) and start doodling away. Here’s a recent doodle on what I thought might be a great idea for a great, versatile little number that people could tote around to the office and can go from their day to night look with a change of the strap’s position… You know how we like doing bags that have multiple personalities! :))

I couldn’t wait to try this one out so it was immediately on to patterning, cutting and sewing. I used this fantastic fabric that I have kept for a while for special projects (this is one of them methinks :). You might remember the same fabric from the Shabby Blue Candy Clutch we did a while back. After a slight feud with the zip ( such necessary evils they are! ) , it turned out pretty well and I’m just chuffed!
